New End of Day Setting in e-Editions

Could you explain the function of the newly released End of Day setting in the e-Editions application?

An issue many editors and newsrooms identify is that the publication date of all of our e-Editions is incorrect because our paginators send pages thru the FTP at the end of the day/night prior to 12 a.m. of the actual pub date. We have established this workflow to accommodate limited time and resources to manually adjust the e-edition. It is difficult to search our e-editions by date, because Sunday's edition has a 7-11 p.m. Saturday start date/time.

I have previously submitted a support ticket on this issue, and Matthew Reyes said the resolution was pending a software release and added me to this notification ticket: https://secure.townnews.com/shared-content/townnew...

Hi Micah - I'm told that a documentation update for the "End of Day" feature should appear sometime this afternoon. I'll update this thread when the doc is posted.

Hi Micah - The docs page has been updated with instructions for using the "End of Day" setting: http://docs.townnews.com/kbpublisher/E-Editions-Manager-Settings_7973.html. It's under the "Advanced" settings.
